Our qualified SMBLA leaders and tutors offer guided multi day rides for all levels of Mountain Bikers. Whether you wish to ride the C2C from Whitehaven or Workington to Sunderland or North Shields; or the mountainous Scottish route from Fort William to Montrose; then we can organise the expedition to suit you.

Expedition Training – with many years of experience in training people for walking and biking expeditions, our Leaders and Tutors can provide expedition training courses for you or your group. Course can include carrying equipment by bike, riding skills with bike and panniers/trailer, camp craft, trailside repairs, etc

Pre entry requirements
You will needs to be happy riding your bike on dirt tracks and happy with the techniques covered in the level two course. (Click here for level two courses).

We support Scout & DofE Award groups in Expedition training and ventures.


Supported Expeditions
For those of you who wish to do a multi day ride, but without the strain of carrying your entire luggage, on the bike. While a support vehicle carries your luggage from one overnight stop to another, our SMBLA Leader guides you there by bike.

You will needs to be happy riding your bike to the technical difficulty of the chosen route. You will also need to be able to stay in the saddle for a few days on end.

Full Expeditions Experiences
For those who are looking for the full expedition experience. If you are looking to carry your own equipment, on your bike or cycle trailer. Our SMBLA qualified Expedition Leader can guide you on your journey, whether you choose to stay in a hotel, hostel, campsite or for the real expedition experience, wild camping.  Ratio 1:6
