Following mainly Forest tracks, with some single track and tarmac, through Hamsterley Forest - an undulating route, with some steep climbs

• Suitable for - most riders with good health and reasonable fitness
• Bike - riding Mountain Bike, gravel or Hybrids

Follow the Hamsterley Forest - new BLUE Trail aka “Squirrel Chaser”, with it’s two new purpose built trails “Oakey Cokey” and “Potatoe Hill”; riding moderate features and climbs; as it meanders through the Forest.

• Height Climb - 250m / 755 feet
• Graded - Moderate
• Suitable for - intermediate cyclists & Mountain Bikers with basic off-road riding skills and a good level of fitness

The Hamsterley Forest RED Trail; for a more challenging ride, with some difficult climbs, descents and features. There are two RED trail circuits (“The Big’Un” and “Transcend”), plus another option (”The Hamster Wheel”); with plenty of RED features along the way.

• Distance - 9 to 23km / 5.6 to 14 miles
• Height Climb - up to 390m / 1275 feet
• Graded - Difficult
• Suitable for - Proficient Mountain Bikers with a higher level of fitness and stamina; and with good off-road riding skills
• Bike - riding a better quality Mountain Bike
• Duration - 3 to 4 hour (depending on option)

We follow the Hamsterley Forest BLACK Trail; for a more challenging ride, with some difficult climbs and descents, with Severe features.

• Distance - 13km / 8 miles
• Height Climb - 400m / 1300 feet
• Graded - Severe
• Suitable for - Expert Mountain Bikers used to physically demanding routes, who are active riders used to prolonged effort.
• Bike - quality Mountain Bike required
• Duration - 3 hours

Heading north out of the forest; following trails, forest tracks, byways and bridleways. This ride has some difficult climbs, descents and features; and a good bit of distance.

• Height Climb - 600m / 1970 feet
• Graded - Difficult/Severe (due to distance)
• Suitable for - Proficient Mountain Bikers; but are used to physically demanding routes, who are active riders used to prolonged effort.

• Suitable for - intermediate cyclists & Mountain Bikers with basic off-road riding skills and a good level of fitness

• Suitable for - accomplished Mountain Bikers with a higher level of fitness, stamina and riding skills

Riding on BLACK graded trails, including the Black Powerline Trail; for a more challenging ride, with some difficult climbs and descents, with Severe features.
