Where to meet

For most MTB Rides and Training Courses (unless other wise stated) run in Hamsterley Forest; our meeting point is situated opposite the Toilets in the main car park. (NB. For British Cycling MTB Leadership courses and assessments, or Go-MTB Instructor Orientation courses run at Hamsterley Forest, we will usually be based in the “Pine Room” classroom by the visitor centre.)

If the car park is busy, and you can’t get parked in one of the car parks near the visitor centre; please drive to the meeting point and we will see if we can get you parked near us (please note we may only be there 15 minutes prior to your session, depending on the booking before yours). Please download the PDF Consent & Medical form can you complete a form for each participant and return via email cycle4adventure@gmail.com within 7 days prior to the activity, but no later than 5.00pm two days prior to your first booked session.

Bike check information sheet

If you are joining us on a Mountain Bike session, and you are using your own bike, please download the PDF Bike check information sheet and check your bike to ensure it is full working order prior to the session.

Note on e-bikes

Please note if you are doing any of our MTB coaching sessions or guided rides on an e-bike, you MUST be over 14 years of age and the bike must conform to British “pedalec” laws. Please contact me if you require further information.

Parking in Chopwell Woodland Park

Please note parking in Chopwell Woods is currently free

NB. British Cycling MTB Leadership courses or Go-MTB Instructor Orientation courses run at Chopwell Woods, we will usually be based in the classroom by the Forest Office, there is limited parking there; and please be aware of residential properties next to the classroom. The access to the classroom is past the main car park, turn left at the “RVP1” sign, then at the bottom of the lane, bear right to the wooden Forestry building and park with care. Parking in Blanchland

Unless other wise stated, parking is in the car park at the rear of the Lord Crewe Arms

(NB. If the main hotel car park is busy, please park one of the other Blanchland car parks, either by the sports club and play area, or up to the left of the “White Monk Tea Rooms” These car parks require a £1.00 payment in the donation boxes situated in the car parks).
